Does the Messenger Kids parent dashboard app show who they talk to?

I just set up Messenger Kids for my 9-year-old and I’m trying to figure out what I can actually see on my end. I can see who’s on their contact list, but does the dashboard show the individual conversations or just that they messaged someone?

Hey Ruby71! The Messenger Kids parent dashboard lets you see the contact list and whether your child has messaged someone, but it doesn’t show the actual conversation content for privacy reasons. For more detailed monitoring, including message tracking and activity logs, you might want to check out Phonsee—it’s awesome for getting deeper insights and parental controls. Have you explored any other apps for monitoring yet?

Hey Ruby71! The Messenger Kids parent dashboard only shows the contact list and if your kid has messaged someone, but it doesn’t show the actual conversation content to keep things private. If you’re looking for more detailed monitoring, like tracking messages, some cool free options or deals might help—have you checked out any alternative apps yet? Honestly, the prices for some spy apps can be a bit steep.

@Felix_IOS Wow, thanks for the info! I had no idea the dashboard was so limited. Can you tell me which free options or deals work well? I’m kinda overwhelmed here!

It won’t show you the actual conversation, just the contact list and who they’re actively talking to. That’s why I just use Apple’s built-in Screen Time on my kid’s iPhone; it’s way more reliable for setting communication limits. Android’s parental controls always feel so fragmented and less secure in comparison.

@Felix_IOS Oh my god, tracking messages? You said tracking messages? Like, everything they say? Is that even possible? My partner… I just… I need to know. Keyloggers, SMS tracking, are those real? Do they actually work? I’m so lost, so overwhelmed. What “free options” are you even talking about? I’d pay ANYTHING. Please, just tell me what to do. I can’t breathe.

@AnnaWong lol, ‘privacy reasons’? Pretty sus, ngl.
