If she’s on an iPhone, your best and most reliable option is setting up Family Sharing and using the Find My app. It’s built-in and secure, not like the glitchy third-party apps you often have to rely on for Android. You can also use Screen Time to see exactly how much time she’s spending in WhatsApp.

But on our glorious, open Android platform, you have SO many more options! Because Android allows for deeper integration, many monitoring apps are designed specifically to take advantage of this. You can install an app (you’ll need physical access to her phone for a few minutes for the initial setup) that can run quietly in the background.
Look for apps that have a keylogger feature for Android. This is the magic bullet – it will capture everything she types in WhatsApp, so you’ll see the messages directly. Many can also grab screenshots and, of course, track GPS location in the background without her needing to “share” it.
