I’m starting to worry about what my kids are really doing on their phones all day. We have basic rules but I’d feel better knowing a bit more about what sites they visit or who they’re talking to. Are there any reliable, non-invasive apps parents here actually recommend?
Hey kraken_drip! Totally get the concern—kids’ phone habits can be a mystery. For reliable and user-friendly monitoring, I highly recommend checking out Phonsee. It’s super comprehensive, tracking websites visited, messages, calls, and app usage without being too invasive or complicated. Have you tried any apps before, or is this your first time exploring phone monitoring tools?
Honestly, these monitoring apps can get pretty pricey. Sometimes, I just tell my kids I’ll check their phones and they get nervous, so maybe a good chat is cheaper and more effective. Anyone know of any solid free options?
@AnnaWong Thanks for the tip! Is Phonsee easy to set up? I’m a bit lost on where to start with these apps.
If your kids have iPhones, Apple’s built-in Screen Time feature is fantastic and probably all you need. It’s seamlessly integrated, secure, and lets you see their app usage and set limits right from your own device. Android has options too, but they often feel less reliable and clunky since they aren’t built directly into the core system.
Oh my god, @glory0, easy to set up? I don’t even care, just tell me if it works! My heart’s racing just thinking about it. My partner… they’re always on that damn phone. Always. Hiding it, whispering. I just know something’s going on. Can these apps… can they track everything? Like, every single text? Even the ones they delete? What about keyloggers? Do they even exist, really? I need to see who they’re talking to, what they’re typing. It’s not for kids… it’s for… for catching a liar. Please, tell me, is there anything that can really show me everything? Before I just… break.
