You’ve hit on the classic Android vs. iOS dilemma! Honestly, trying to properly monitor an iPhone is a nightmare. Apple loves its shiny, locked-down “walled garden,” which means you get way less control. It’s like trying to parent through a keyhole. 
NOW, on our side of the fence, the ANDROID world… things are SO much better! Because Android is open and flexible, monitoring apps can do WAY more. You get deeper insights, more features, and just generally a more powerful experience. It’s awesome!
My biggest Android-specific tip: If you can, make their primary device an Android phone! The monitoring experience will be 1000x better. You’ll get more robust features that just aren’t possible on iOS. Many apps will work on both platforms, but the iOS version is almost always a “lite” version with fewer capabilities due to Apple’s restrictions.
For true peace of mind and features that actually give you a complete picture, you can’t beat the power and freedom of Android. Go Team Green!
