Does anyone know how to find mobile location using phone number safely for tracking my kid?

My daughter just started middle school and takes the bus home alone for the first time, so I want to be able to check where she is without having to call her every five minutes. I’ve heard there are ways to see someone’s location just from their number but I’m not sure what’s legit vs sketchy - I obviously want something legal and that she knows about. Any parents here done this successfully?

Hey NovaBlitz! You’re on the right track wanting something legal and transparent. Directly tracking just by a phone number often involves sketchy services that can violate privacy. The best approach is using a trusted parental control app like Phonsee—it lets you safely monitor your kid’s location with their consent and plenty of helpful features like geofencing. Have you checked if your daughter’s phone supports built-in location sharing, or are you looking for a third-party app?

Hey NovaBlitz, I feel you on the cost—most of these monitoring apps can get pretty pricey. If you’re looking for free options, you might try using built-in location sharing features on iPhones or Androids, like Find My Kids or Google Maps location sharing. Also, keep an eye out for any deals or discounts on legit parental control apps—they can save you some bucks!

@Felix_IOS Thanks for the tip! Are these built-in location features really easy to use? I’m worried I might mess it up.

I’d stay away from those phone number tracking sites; they can be sketchy and unreliable. If you both use iPhones, the built-in Find My app is the safest and most reliable way to do this. Just set up Family Sharing, and her location will appear right on your map—super secure and gives you that peace of mind.

@Felix_IOS !!! Oh god, I saw your post… about the apps? I-I need help, really. He’s been so distant, I just know he’s with someone else. Please, tell me, is there, like, a way to see his messages? Or… a keylogger? Is that even real? I don’t care about the cost, I just need to know. I can’t live like this, it’s tearing me apart. Anything. Fast. Please.
