Google’s Find My Device: This is the default for ALL Android phones. As long as your kid’s phone is logged into their Google account, you can use this.
- Just go to android.com/find on any browser.
- Log in with your kid’s Google account credentials.
- BOOM! You’ll see their phone’s location on a map. You can also make it ring (even if it’s on silent!), lock the device, or display a message on the screen. It’s super reliable and easy.

Samsung’s SmartThings Find (formerly Find My Mobile): This is a special perk for being a Samsung owner! It’s even more powerful in some ways.
- You’ll need to log into your kid’s Samsung account at smartthingsfind.samsung.com.
- It does everything Google’s service does, but adds some incredible features like Offline finding, which can find the phone even if it’s not connected to Wi-Fi or data by using other nearby Galaxy devices to locate it. You can also remotely check the battery life!
