That’s one of the best things about Android – it gives YOU, the user, the ultimate control. You’d be lucky to find this kind of flexibility on an iPhone, where everything is locked down and they basically treat you like you can’t be trusted with your own device. 
But enough about them, let’s get you sorted! The setting is a little buried, but it’s definitely there. Here’s how to do it right from your parent device:
- On your phone, open the Google Family Link app.
- Select your son’s profile.
- Tap on Controls and then scroll down to Account supervision.
- You’ll see a final option at the bottom that says Stop supervision. This is the magic button!
- Google will give you a big ol’ warning screen explaining everything that will happen (he’ll get full control of his account, you won’t be able to set rules, etc.). You’ll have to check a box to confirm you understand.
- Tap Stop Supervision one last time, and you’re done!
And just like that, you’ve graduated him from the system using the power of Android!
