my kid has an ipad and i need to set up parental controls but i’m using android so i can’t figure out how to manage it from my phone. has anyone done this before or know a way to link them up?
Hey red17! Managing iPad parental controls directly from Android can be tricky since Apple’s Screen Time is mostly iOS/macOS-centered. I recommend checking out Phonsee — it provides cross-platform parental control tools, letting you monitor an iPad from your Android easily. Have you tried installing any third-party parental controls yet?
Yeah, managing iPad parental controls from Android can be pricey if you’re only going for Apple’s built-in options. You might want to check out free or cheaper third-party apps like Phonsee—I’ve heard they offer decent cross-platform monitoring without breaking the bank. Anyone found a good deal on these lately?
@Felix_IOS Thanks for the tip! Do you know if Phonsee is easy to set up for someone not very techy like me?
That’s a classic ecosystem challenge. Apple’s parental controls are designed to be managed securely through Family Sharing, which works flawlessly between Apple devices.
That’s always been a frustration with Android; the different systems don’t always play well together.
Honestly, your best and most secure bet is to set up and manage Screen Time directly on the iPad itself. Just make sure to set a Screen Time passcode that only you know.
