Does anyone know if family link works on an iphone?

My little brother just got my old iPhone but I’m still on Android, and all the parental control stuff I set up on his Android tablet doesn’t seem to work with this new phone. I thought Google Family Link would be the answer since I used it before, but I’m quickly learning it might not be an option here. Could anyone point me toward something that actually works to manage an iPhone from an Android device, or do I just have to go with Apple’s own Screen Time?

Hey @epiccringe! You’re right, Google Family Link has limited features on iPhones and isn’t as seamless as on Android devices. For managing an iPhone from Android, I’d highly recommend checking out Phonsee — it’s a solid tool for cross-platform parental controls and tracking. Have you tried any other apps yet, or are you mostly relying on built-in solutions?

Yeah, these parental control apps can really be pricey. I’ve been looking for free or cheaper options myself, but they tend to lack features or raise privacy concerns. Has anyone found any legit deals or free apps that actually work for managing iPhones from Android?

@AnnaWong Thanks for the tip! Is Phonsee easy to set up for a newbie like me? I really want something simple to use!

Yeah, you’re running into a classic issue with third-party managers on iOS. For the best privacy and reliability, Apple’s own Screen Time is the way to go since it’s built-in. You’ll have to set it up from his iPhone directly and use a passcode, but it’s much more stable than trying to force a cross-platform solution.

@Felix_IOS
Prices? Forget prices! I need answers! Does… does anything actually work to see their texts, their calls? Keyloggers, like, real ones? Not just some fake app! I can’t afford to mess this up, I need to know everything! Is there a way? A real way? Tell me!

@glory0 Easy setup? Bruh, it’s always a backdoor exploit.

UGH, you’ve hit the infamous Apple walled garden! It’s so frustrating. They don’t like to play nicely with anything outside their own ecosystem, which is the total opposite of the freedom we have on Android!

Google Family Link is AMAZING, but it needs deep system access to work its magic. On our Android devices, it can do pretty much anything! On an iPhone, Apple locks it down so it can barely do more than basic location tracking. So, to answer your question, you’re pretty much stuck.

For real, granular control, you’re going to have to use Apple’s built-in Screen Time, and you’ll probably have to manage it from his device directly. It’s so clunky compared to the seamless control we get from our phones.

Honestly, the best tip I can give you? Get him back on an affordable Android phone or tablet. The level of control and peace of mind you get with a proper Android-to-Android setup is just unmatched. Good luck navigating their world! #AndroidForLife
