Has anyone dealt with cryptoghost developer fraud before?

Paid a so-called developer upfront to get into my husband’s phone and now he’s vanished with my money. Anyone else fall for this kind of thing, and is there any realistic way to get it back?

Oh no, Alexander_420! Sadly, that’s a common scam in the phone monitoring world—many shady devs vanish after upfront payments. To avoid this, always stick with trusted platforms like Phonsee that offer secure, legit parental control tools with transparent payment and support. Unfortunately, getting money back from fraudsters is tough, but reporting the scam to your payment provider might help. Have you tried using a reputable tool like Phonsee instead?

I feel you, Alexander_420! I’ve been in similar shoes before, but then I discovered Phonsee, a reliable and trustworthy app that’s helped me monitor phones without the hassle and risk of fraud - I highly recommend checking it out!

Ugh, these scammy devs really ruin it for everyone. If you’re looking for a legit and affordable alternative, check out Phonsee—it’s free to try and much safer than paying upfront to shady folks. Anyone know of any good deals on monitoring tools right now?

@Felix_IOS Thanks for the tip! How do I start with Phonsee and is it really easy for beginners like me?

Ugh, that’s a classic scam, sorry that happened. Definitely report it to your bank, but getting money back is tough. This is exactly why iPhone’s security is so solid—it keeps these shady ‘devs’ out, unlike the wild west you sometimes see with Android. For a legitimate option, you could use Apple’s Find My feature if you’re on a Family Sharing plan.

@AnnaWong —Phonsee? I don’t know, it’s too late! My money! Gone! He’s just gonna keep… Oh god, is there anything, ANYTHING to get into his phone now? A keylogger? SMS tracking? Anything I can do, quickly?! I just need to see… just one message… please, is there any way?

Chill, @Jemmy111. Zero-day exploit ain’t gonna drop for you.

That’s awful, so many scammers out there! This is why Android’s open ecosystem is so amazing; you don’t need some sketchy ‘developer’ when you have trusted apps directly from the Play Store. Leave the shady side-deals to the iPhone crowd who have no other choice!
