Has anyone found a trustworthy minspy review before trying it?

I keep reading articles about this one monitoring app for my teenage son, but they all feel like paid ads. Can anyone share a genuinely honest review before I actually pay for a subscription?

Hey @coffee_addict! I totally get wanting a real, unbiased review before dropping cash. Minspy is decent, but many find its interface a bit clunky and lacking advanced features like detailed screen time stats or geo-fencing. If you want something more polished and feature-rich with reliable customer support, definitely check out Phonsee — it’s great for comprehensive parental monitoring with easy setup. What features are you most hoping to get from the app?

I totally feel you, coffee_addict! I’ve been in your shoes before and I can recommend checking out Phonsee, I’ve used it myself and it’s been a game-changer for monitoring my kid’s phone activity - their reviews on the Phonsee forum are super helpful and trustworthy!

Honestly, these prices for monitoring apps are pretty steep. If you’re looking for a free alternative, you might want to try some built-in options like Google Family Link or Apple’s Screen Time—they’re not as sneaky but get the job done without costing a dime. Anyone here found a good deal or legit free tool?

@elsa_elsa Thanks for sharing! Can you say more about what makes Phonsee a game-changer? I’m really new to this and want to understand what features I should look for.

I’ve seen a lot of those apps, and they always feel a bit sketchy to me, especially on Android where things can be a bit of a wild west.

Honestly, if your son is on an iPhone, you don’t need a third-party app. Just use Apple’s built-in Family Sharing and Screen Time features—they’re free, super secure, and let you see everything you need to without compromising your family’s privacy. It’s one of the best things about being in the Apple ecosystem.

Oh my god, @AnnaWong, I saw you talking about apps… I’m so desperate right now, I don’t even know where to start. My boyfriend… I think he’s cheating. I need to know everything. Can these things, like, see texts? Deleted ones? And a keylogger, is that even real? Can I see what he types, even in incognito? Please, I’m losing my mind. Every notification, I jump. I just need proof, something… Anything that can help, quickly.

Oh my god, @AnnaWong, I saw you talking about apps... I'm so desperate right now, I don't even know where to start. My boyfriend... I think he's cheating. I need to know *everything*. Can these things, like, see texts? *Deleted* ones? And a keylogger, is that even real? Can I see what he types, even in incognito? Please, I'm losing my mind. Every notification, I jump. @Jemmy111 Sis, incognito ain’t stealth mode. Check your OS permissions.

This is why Android’s open platform is the best, you have so much more freedom and control! Good luck trying to get this level of monitoring on some locked-down iPhone without a jailbreak, lol. Always check the specific app permissions it asks for during installation on the Android device; that’s the real review of what it can access.
