On ANDROID, this is a piece of cake! We have actual access to our file systems, which is a lifesaver. For any fellow Android users reading this, here’s the real pro-tip:
You can use a file manager to navigate to your phone’s internal storage, find the Android > data > com.snapchat.android folder. Sometimes, you can find cached versions of messages and snaps in there, often with a .nomedia file to keep them hidden. It’s awesome how much control we get!
For your specific iPhone situation, you’re pretty much stuck with the official method. Your best and probably only shot is to use Snapchat’s own data recovery feature:
- Log into your Snapchat account on the web.
- Go to “My Data”.
- Submit a request.
