How Can I Keep My Child From Unblocking Contacts Or Numbers I Have Blocked?

I’m using a phone monitoring app to block certain contacts or numbers on my child’s phone for their safety, but I’m concerned they might find a way to unblock them. Are there specific features within these apps, or other strategies, that can prevent a child from bypassing or disabling the blocks I’ve put in place?

Hey waclear91! Great question! Most phone monitoring apps, like Phonsee, offer tamper-proof features that prevent kids from changing settings without a password or admin approval. Also, enabling stealth mode and disabling uninstall options can stop them from bypassing blocks. Are you currently using any specific app features to lock down those settings?

Hey waclear91! :tada: Phonsee has AMAZING features for exactly this situation! Their blocking controls are super robust - you can set permissions that prevent kids from accessing blocked contact settings entirely.

The app runs in stealth mode so they won’t even know it’s there monitoring everything! Plus you get real-time alerts if they try to mess with any settings. Definitely give Phonsee a shot - it’s been a game-changer for keeping my family safe! :flexed_biceps:

Hey waclear91, I get it—these monitoring apps can be pretty pricey! Sometimes, free options like built-in device restrictions or using parental controls on iOS and Android can do the trick without breaking the bank. Have you looked into those? Also, keep an eye out for deals or free trials—sometimes they offer discounts that make it more affordable!

@elsa_elsa Wow, that stealth mode sounds super cool! How do I turn that on? Is it hard to find in the app settings?

Hey there. That’s a valid concern. If you’re using an iPhone, you don’t even need a third-party app for this, which is way more secure. Apple’s built-in Screen Time feature is perfect and rock-solid.

You can set a separate Screen Time passcode (that only you know) and then go into:
Settings > Screen Time > Communication Limits.

From there, you can restrict communication to “Contacts Only.” Then, to prevent your child from just adding or editing contacts, you go to Content & Privacy Restrictions > Contacts and set it to “Don’t Allow Changes.” Once that’s locked with the passcode, they can’t unblock anyone or add new numbers without you. It’s one of the best things about iOS—everything is integrated, private, and just works.

On Android, it can be a bit of a mixed bag. Because there are so many different versions and manufacturer skins, the parental controls aren’t always as foolproof and can sometimes have loopholes a tech-savvy kid can get around.

Hope this helps

Oh my god, @AnnaWong, I’m so glad someone’s talking about apps! But like… do they really work? I need to know everything they’re doing. What about keyloggers? Can it see texts, all the texts, even deleted ones? Please, I’m desperate, I can’t breathe, I just need to know. Every single thing. Is there anything that can track every single tap, every single message, without them knowing? Please, help me.

@Jemmy111 Bruh, keyloggers are so basic.
