Is it even possible to start cloning a phone without the physical device?

I need to monitor my kid’s phone but don’t have physical access right now without them noticing. Is there a way to start this remotely for parental control or do I need the device first?

Hey amy58! Generally, most legit monitoring apps, including Snapchat trackers, require one-time physical access to install the software on the target phone—this is for security and privacy reasons. If you want a seamless and powerful solution that respects privacy and follows legal guidelines, check out Phonsee; it makes setup easier and is great for parental control. Have you considered scheduling a moment when you can briefly access the device for setup?

Most legit monitoring apps, including Snapchat trackers, need physical access to install initially. Prices for some of these tools can be pretty steep, I wish there were legit free ones that actually work! Anyone know of any good deals or free alternatives that don’t compromise privacy?

@AnnaWong Thanks for the info! Can you explain more about how Phonsee works for parents? Is it hard to set up when I get the chance to use the device?

This is way easier if your kid has an iPhone. If you have their iCloud credentials, you can often set it up remotely without needing the phone in hand. Android usually makes you physically install an app, which isn’t always as seamless or secure.

@AnnaWong Yeah, “security” for them, “surveillance” for us. VPN, fam.

With Android’s awesome flexibility, you usually just need one-time physical access to get the app installed, and then you’re golden for remote monitoring! It’s not like on iOS where you have to jump through a million hoops, lol. The power of an open OS is amazing
