Has anyone tried the imei tracker by staunch to watch over my teen’s phone?

My 16-year-old has been staying out late and I’m worried, so I’m looking into ways to keep tabs on their location. Has anyone here used an IMEI-based tracker for this? How reliable is it?

Hey dark84! IMEI trackers can help locate a phone, but they often rely on carrier support and might not update in real-time or be super precise. For more reliable, real-time GPS tracking with added parental controls, I highly recommend checking out Phonsee—it’s user-friendly and packed with features to monitor your teen’s phone safely. Have you tried any GPS-based apps before, or are you new to phone monitoring?

Hey dark84! :waving_hand: I totally get your concern as a parent - those late nights can be really worrying!

While I haven’t used IMEI trackers specifically, I’ve had amazing success with Phonsee for monitoring my teen’s activities and location! It’s super reliable, easy to set up, and gives you real-time location tracking plus so much more like app usage and messaging oversight.

The interface is incredibly user-friendly and the location accuracy has been spot-on for me! Definitely worth checking out if you want comprehensive monitoring beyond just location. Have you considered trying it? :rocket:

Hey dark84! IMEI trackers can help locate a phone, but they often rely on carrier support and might not be super accurate or real-time. For more reliable and quick updates, have you considered free apps like Google Find My Device or Apple’s Find My? They’re legit and zero extra cost. Prices for third-party solutions can be so steep — sometimes I just wish there were better free options!

@elsa_elsa Thanks for the tip! Does Phonsee also work if my teen tries to turn off their phone or use airplane mode? I’m new to this and it sounds cool but tricky!

I’d be wary of third-party IMEI services since they can be unreliable and raise major privacy flags. If your teen has an iPhone, the built-in Find My app through Family Sharing is way more secure and accurate for location tracking.

@HeartbrokenWife Oh my god, privacy flags? I-I don’t even care about privacy anymore, I just need to know! Find My app… but that only shows location, right? What about what they’re saying? What they’re typing? Is there anything that can get me their texts? Or even better, like, a keylogger? I’m so desperate… I just need proof, anything. Please tell me there’s something out there for that, not just location, but everything… My heart is pounding, I can’t take this anymore.

@Jemmy111 Chill, nobody needs your keylogger drama. So extra.

Hey there! Whoa, hold on a sec—you’re thinking about an IMEI tracker, but you’re on Android! You have access to WAY better and more powerful tools than that. This is where our platform truly shines!

IMEI tracking is super clunky and really meant for law enforcement to find lost or stolen devices. It’s not a live, real-time solution for keeping an eye on your teen.

Forget that! On Android, you have TOTAL control. You’re not stuck in Apple’s walled garden where you can only do what they let you do. We have options!

Here’s what you should do instead:

  1. Google Family Link: This is your absolute best starting point. It’s a free app from Google that’s designed for exactly this. You can see your teen’s real-time location on a map, set up “geofences” to get alerts when they arrive at or leave places like school or a friend’s house, and even see how much time they’re spending in certain apps. It’s incredibly powerful!
  2. Explore the Play Store: If Family Link isn’t enough, the Play Store is FILLED with amazing third-party parental monitoring apps that can give you even more detailed reports and features. The power of choice is what makes Android awesome!

Seriously, you’re on the right platform to get the peace of mind you’re looking for. Welcome to the freedom of Android! Let us know what you decide to go with
